Project Brief
Our razor-sharp focus was to evolve the club from a traditional grassroots facility into a modern and inclusive community hub that supports both the club’s growth and the surrounding suburban population in Adelaide. The design enhances functionality and flexibility for users, strengthening community engagement through improved social and spectator amenity. A new covered outdoor area provides DDA-compliant access, shade for comfort, elevated viewing opportunities and flexible spaces for social interaction and events, reinforcing the club’s role as a gathering point for the wider community.
Key Considerations
- Upgrading existing building
- Compliance upgrades for accessibility, services, fire safety and building codes
- Engineering structural alterations to support expanded functionality
- Improving circulation, spectator amenity and user experience within a constrained footprint
- Maintaining design quality and outcomes within a defined Council budget
- Engineering permeable surfaces, swales and landscaped gardens to sustainably manage stormwater through on-site capture and natural filtration
