Project Brief
These purpose-built cement facilities are designed to support the efficient import, storage and distribution of bulk cement products within a high-demand industrial environment and this includes rural and portside environments. Developments incorporate large-scale storage infrastructure, conveying systems and heavy-duty operational areas to enable safe, continuous product handling and distribution. Engineered for durability, efficiency and long-term performance, they respond to the logistical and structural demands of bulk materials handling while supporting critical supply chain operations for the regions.
Key Considerations
- Managing a complex staged approvals process through to Certificate of Occupancy and across multiple development phases (involving EPA and DIT)
- Managing approvals and documentation to suit evolving operational requirements and support the progressive delivery of infrastructure and buildings
- Coordinating approvals through to Certificate of Occupancy
- Coordinating complex building services
- Supporting innovative processes including production of green cement and heavily automated systems
- Managing soil remediation works incorporating preloading of fill to achieve suitable ground performance
- Site-wide stormwater design, including separation and control of clean and contaminated runoff, with appropriate collection, conveyance and discharge systems
- Design of sediment and water quality basins with WSUD measures to treat runoff and meet environmental and regulatory requirements
- Earthworks and grading design to manage site drainage, prevent cross-contamination and integrate with staging and operations
